Celebration of the International Geoethics Day 2026 in India
Prof. Paul Cleverley (IAPG Board of Experts and Chair of the Task Group on AI in Geosciences of the IUGS Commission on Geoethics) will deliver a keynote speech, entitled "AI ethics in geoscience with a focus on LLMs", in the Workshop on "Geoheritage with Shared Responsibility" on 9 October 2026.
The workshop will bring together geoscientists, academics, students, Geopark professionals, and specialists in geocollections and related fields to explore key aspects of geodiversity, including its conservation, geoethical implications, responsible use, and public engagement.
This workshop is organized by the Geological Survey of India (GSI) to celebrate the 5th International Geodiversity Day and the 10th International Geoethics Day.
