This report provides an overview of the structure and organizational framework of the International Association for Promoting Geoethics (IAPG), as well as its interactions and collaborations with national and international organizations and projects. It presents the main products developed since the foundation of the IAPG, highlights the principal accomplishments achieved during 2025, and outlines the planned activities and objectives for 2026.

The deadline for submitting nominations for the Geoethics Medal 2025 is fast approaching: 31 December 2025. The Geoethics Medal honors scientists and scholars who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to ethical practices in geoscience research and/or practice, including its interdisciplinary applications. The award emphasizes the importance of responsible and ethical conduct in the geosciences and encourages others to incorporate geoethical principles into their work.

This session aims to explore, through case studies and discussion, how geoethics can shape responsible behaviors and policies in geosciences. We welcome theoretical, methodological, and applied contributions addressing a broad range of topics related to geoethics and social geosciences
