It is increasingly urgent to strengthen and give greater visibility to geoethical themes so that they are recognized and valued by all geoscientists. Geoethics moves beyond narrow areas of discussion and offers a meaningful point of reflection for geoscientists.

By engaging with geoethical questions, geoscientists have the opportunity to reflect on themselves, their skills, the quality of their work, and the contributions they can make to the healthy progress of humanity.

Geoethics should become part of societal knowledge and serve as an essential reference point for every action concerning the use of land, water, and atmosphere undertaken by stakeholders and decision-makers.
