IAPG at the Forefront: Key Contributions to Major Geoscience Events in September 2025

The IAPG – International Association for Promoting Geoethics is proud to co-sponsor and contribute to two major upcoming events this September. These occasions mark important milestones for the geoscience community and provide a platform to discuss sustainability, ethics, and the future of raw materials and engineering geology.

Vitor Correia (IAPG Continental Coordinator for Europe; Secretary General of the International Raw Materials Observatory) will represent the IAPG at the 11th Meggen Raw Material Days (Lennestadt, Germany) and deliver an invited talk, titled "Ethical Considerations in Raw Material Management", on 11 September 2025.

This event is organized by BDG Berufsverband Deutscher Geowissenschaftler e. V.

Marita Ahumada (IAPG Continental Coordinator for South America; Women in Mining Argentina; Instituto Superior Tecnológico de Mendoza) will deliver a Keynote Lecture, titled "Sustainable Mining Industry: Stages, Environmental Aspects", on 26 September 2025, at the 3rd Argentinian Congress of Engineering Geology and the Environment in Cordoba (Argentina).

The IAPG co-sponsors this event that celebrates 50 years from the foundation of the ASAGAI - Asociación Argentina de Geología Aplicada a la Ingeniería (Argentinian Association of Applied Geology to Engineering).
